Dear All, Re. my recent query for any info. relating to William Longshaw and his wife Margaret Myers, who sold their property in Hobart to James Mitchell in 1814, I took an educated guess that Longshaw might have a been a departing soldier serving in the 73rd Regiment, which left for Sri Lanka that year. He was. (I had a head start, as my g.g.g.grandfather John Grierson also served in the 73rd in VDL, and I already knew the regiment's movements.) Best wishes, Carol Brill.
