    3. In Bettys first post she identifies May ELLEN LOUISA Lyons as being born on the 29 September 1878 with a case number 2901. In the online St Joseph's Orphanage details I found, the girl directly below Annie Lyons is ELLEN LOUISA Lynskey with same case number 2901 ? with the same birth date as well? One in the same girl? She's recorded here like Annie Lyons in the Hobart LC records - http://stors.tas.gov.au/LC247-1-37 page 95 towards the bottom. There is a small piece in the "Tasmanian News", 24 April 1891 that goes - Provided For.—A child named Ellen Louisa Lynskey, aged 12 years, was sent to St.‘ Joseph’s Orphanage for a-period of four years. Her father is dead and the mother cannot be found. The order was made on the application of Mr George Judge. 3. Ellen Louia Harriis (Lyndskey) was born out of wedlock in 1878 . Parents Thomas William Harris and Ellen Kelly. Her surname was later changed to Lyndskey. She never married and died in Hobart in 1961 her father must have been Lyndskey and there are some listed in Taslink. >From Descendants of Willism Harris 1828 to 1900 (Google) It all fits for the child you found but not for her marriage in NSW. A bit of a mystery!
