    3. Hi Suzanne I'm pretty interested in the O'Rourkes from Lebrina. Heritage Lilydale, which is the local history group, is working on the list of those who served in WW1 and who were associated with the Lilydale District. Loone's history of the North East lists 3 O'Rourkes and one O'Bourke which I think is a typo (there are several other typos as well). O'Rourke F O'Rourke T O'Rourke James O'Bourke Lawrence I have been able to find war service records for Terrence, James and Lawrence, but not for the mysterious F. But it certainly could be Francis Alexander. There were several other lads from the Lilydale region in New Zealand at the time of the outbreak of WW1 - apparently wages were higher there. I've not yet seen the Honour Board for Lebrina, so it will be interesting to see what is on that. The list of Returned Soldiers in the Lilydale Municipality (1923) doesn't include any O'Rourkes or O'Bourkes anywhere in the district so by 1923, they had all moved on. I suspect that Francis Alexander O'Rourke c 1890 - 1956 New Zealand is another son he also went to the War but lists his NOK as his aunt Mrs Thomas O'Rourke of Spotswood Victoria coincidently when Arthur John Russell O'Rourke moved to Victoria he lived in Spotswood also. Electoral Rolls 1914 suggest a Timothy O'Rourke also resided in the same area as Arthur James & Lizzie O'Rourke but I can't find anything on him after the E/Roll listing in 1914 I have all the information on the O'Rourke's from TROVE regarding The Premier Hotel and the Orchard they had near Lebrina etc, its mainly the exact number of children and their names I'm interested in at the moment.
