    3. Hi again Joy, Found on FreeBMD in the UK - Arthur George TURNER, born December qtr 1899, registered Stourbridge 6c 192 - Stourbridge covers the town of Lye in Worcestershire. I can only see his WW1 record on the Index as the page won't open up, but it shows he was born Worcestershire, next-of-kin was his father Henry TURNER. Newspaper article asking if he was the youngest Digger - http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article59448177 The newspaper article says Arthur TURNER was aged 14 years and 10 months when he enlisted in December 1914; James MARTIN was born 3 January 1901 and enlisted when he was 14 years and three months old. Cheers Trish Nowra NSW > A friend has asked me to try to establish was his father the youngest > soldier at Gallipoli. > I hope someone can help.
