Dear All, I have just discovered that Patrick McGinness, the first husband my relative Matilda Goodwin, died in 1852 , according to her Castlemaine Vic. second marriage certificate of 1859. He most probably died in Victoria. Could some kind soul with a Vic. CD locate his death there for me please? Matilda stated on her 1859 marriage certificate that she has two living children and three who had died - if Patrick died in Vic. I might be able to find their names. I know one of her living children - her daughter Margaret Green, daughter of the convict Robert Green, married as McGinnis the same time at the same place as he mother in 1859. Margaret married James Vincent, son of James and Sarah Vincent. I believe his parents were James Tomer Vincent and Sarah Beazely of Launceston. Best wishes, Carol Brill.
