    3. Thanks Bob, The Childs family were Wesleyan Methodists, and Martha Ann and William Cook married in the home of Martha's father in Old Beach "according to the rites and rituals of the Wesleyan Church." I've a hunch that she would have been buried here along with her husband rather than in the North Circle Cemetery you mention. I would think that at least 50% of the graves known of here are members of the Childs family, and as it seems the Cook children were in the care of a member of the Childs family when their mother became ill, that their mother would have been buried alongside their father here. Thanks for mentioning William H. S. Cook's marriage - I was aware of that, and as I'm still don't know the fate of his sister Florence Mary Cook, I wonder whether anyone in the Cook/Wheatley family knows what happened to her. Best wishes, Carol Brill. -----Original Message----- From: Bob [mailto:tombstones@internode.on.net] Sent: Tuesday, 10 February 2015 8:57 AM To: aus-tasmania@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [AUS-Tas] Newly discovered burial at Old Beach Wesleyan Chapel - WILLIAM COOK/E death in 1878 Carol If Martha Cook was a Catholic and was buried in New Norfolk you will never find her. The Catholic Cemetery records for New Norfolk have never been released. The Cemetery itself was bulldozed many years ago and the land is now being used for housing. The North Circle Public Cemetery at New Norfolk was opened after September 1883 and many of the Asylum inmates were buried there in unmarked graves many of which have not been accounted for and some have been reused. William Henry Sunderland Cook married Alice Emma Wheatley in Aug 1900 in Hobart. Alice was my wife's gg aunt.
