The information about Douglas could have been about Henry Dowling Jr., who was the second mayor of Launceston, was instrumental in getting water to houses and was involved in the setting up of a railway! Just for the info of users of the Tas reference collection at the State Library in Hobart (the collection at the back right-hand of Level 2). The 'Tas reference' collection ("TLR") is being integrated into the main collection, in each book's Dewey number order, progressively as of now and will be found on the shelves at the left and back left as you enter level 2. But they'll be spread out amongst all the other books. The Family History collection on the wall at the back of level 2, will then be moved to the former TLR space. Cheers Malcolm

Hi Lister, Just putting a feeler out for anyone who may know of a direct male line descendant of James Peevor/Clark who'd be willing to undertake the Y-DNA test. Great footage Meryl. Some good close ups of men once off the horses. A lot of larrikins having a laugh. Really good buddies. Some of he men marching down I presume Hobart later, they looked like 14 year olds and we do know many put their ages up to get enlisted. After that film there is a nother coloured film Trip around Tasmania in 1964 on board ship.
