Donald, I found the same thing when looking for my relatives at Queenborough. I found most of them had been reinterred at Cornelian Bay and had to use the Millingtons record search at this link http://www.millingtons.com.au/records-search Cheers, Dean -----Original Message----- From: aus-tasmania-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-tasmania-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Donald L Reid Sent: Sunday, 25 May 2014 07:53 To: AUS-TASMANIA@rootsweb.com Subject: [AUS-Tas] List of Queenborough reinterments at Cornelian Bay At Cornelian Bay Cemetery there is a Memorial Wall listing reinterments from Queenborough. Hi Catherine, have sent you separately all the Regs on the T P Index for Loughnan & Holdsforth - unfortunately no marriage tho, perhaps they were catholic? Many didn't register but their baptism & marriages can be found in church registers. Also can't help you with the reason the ones you mention are connected. Perhaps if you check for Family Notices in the newspapers of the time you may find a mention Cheers Sally. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Catherine Hamilton" <cathloushaw@gmail.com> Sent: Saturday, May 24, 2014 3:29 PM To: "Rootsweb" <AUS-TASMANIA@rootsweb.com> Subject: [AUS-Tas] Marriage of Ann LOUGHNAN and Thomas George HOLDSFORTH > Hello all > > Can SKS check the date of the marriage and the marriage registration > number for Ann LOUGHNAN and Thomas George HOLDSFORTH. Hello all Can SKS check the date of the marriage and the marriage registration number for Ann LOUGHNAN and Thomas George HOLDSFORTH. It would have been 1861 - 1864, most probably in Oatlands. I am trying to figure out the relationship between Ann LOUGHNAN and: 1. Catherine LOUGHNAN born about 1827 and died in Oatlands in 1914 and buried next to Ann and Thomas HOLDSFORTH 2. Mary QUIGLEY, born in Co Offaly, sponsored by Thomas G HOLDSFORTH in 1882 died in Oatlands in 1886 and buried next to Catherine LOUGHNAN and the HOLDSFORTHS. Thanks Catherine
Hi again Rod, I'm sorry, in my last message I forgot to mention Susan's son, William Osborne Moore. His death does not appear on the TPI, (and unfortunately, I don't have the Federation Index, so I can't check for him there), but his birth details do appear on the TPI and read as follows - Surname MOORE Given Name WILLIAM OSBORNE Event BIRTH Father WILLIAM Mother SUSAN BRITTON Date 1 DEC 1855 Sex M Reg. Place HOBART Reg. No. 737/1855 Ref. RGD 33 I think you might already have that info., but perhaps someone on the list, who has the Federation Index, might be able to check it for William's death details for you? Regards, Denise Douglas.

Henry CONE was convicted of stealing thirteen shillings in 1787, when he was twenty-four. He seems to have been born in or around Halesworth in Suffolk, but was originally sentenced to death, but his conviction was commuted to a sentence of transportation for life at Suffolk Assizes. He was transported on the ill-fated Guardian, and transferred to the Neptune which brought him to Australia. He seems to have been granted a conditional pardon, and from Norfolk Island he transferred, I think, to Tasmania. I think he married, and had a number of children, and I wonder whether anyone on this list might be researching him. I would love to know what happened to him: who he married, what children he had and, if possible, any knowledge anyone may have of his brothers and sisters left behind in England. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated, David Scott.
