For those interested in the very early days of Launceston, here’s a link to what may be the first plan for the town, probably around 1807-1808. http://eprints.utas.edu.au/17643/ http://eprints.utas.edu.au/17643/1/ltn-90673.pdf The streets aren’t named, but the canal at the bottom RH corner indicates that the wide N/S street may be the later Charles St. Today’s Canal St is named after it. The plan went to Sydney, and was then returned to VDL about 1844, according to the notes on the sketch. Judy

Val, I looked up ancestry for Percival but didn't find too much. Someone titled Tutu19 (resides in NSW) has commenced a Partington tree but isn't complete. I'm adding the information to my database so when I've finished, I'll send a file for your comparison. It did however show Percival remarrying in Adelaide on 21 November 1963 to Margaret Betty Evans, no further detail. No mention whatsoever of Thelma but when I pressed the Electoral Rolls link for Margaret, it brought up Thelma's entry in the 1954 Denison roll, which seems to be the one you know about. I've set out below various WA sites which may be use at some time. Bunbury Cemetery - doesn't seem to work much of the time. http://bunburycemetery.com.au/burial-cremation-records WA Justice Department for BDMs. After 1905, parents not listed. Dear Listers, Am seeking information on the daughter of Arthur Joseph and his 2nd wife Lorna Alva (nee Wood) believed to have been named Janet. She is believed to have married Unknown Hunt and had four children, Beverley, Katherine, Rhonda and Jennifer. I am not sure if she married in Tasmania. With thanks Ann
Dear list , Just a note to say thankyou to all those researchers that answered my query. Although I was unable to gain any significant evidence to assist my quest I was able to store this info for the time that I may need it when the big breakthrough happens. Thankyou again and I would still like to hear from others who may have some suggestions on where to look. Regards Gail Dear list , I am hoping someone from the many descendant someone can help me with this query. Thomas Dennis married Janet Cree at Fingal in 1852 . I have this information .She was a convict and on this certificate it is stated he is free.He died in St marys 1901 and is buried there . What I am wanting to know is ---where did Thomas originate from and how and when did he come into Tasmania . He is NOT the convict Thomas Dennis / Dennersfield .I have proven this . Thankyou for any information you may be able to help with Gail in Victoria
