    3. Hi Betty, Not an answer to Annie Lyons but May Lyons is mentioned in the CENTRAL COMMITTEE FOR BOARDING-OUT DESTITUTE CHILDREN (SWD57) in 1896 as being boarded out to Margaret Hicks and her husband. Then goes on the recommend that as she has reached the age of 12 years she should be sent to St Joseph's Orphanage. Child resists the idea so they keep her boarded out until the end of the year. No reference to real parents just the foster couple.... 3. Hello Don If they were cremated, in the southern part of Tasmania, then there will be a record on the Millington's website. <http://www.millingtons.com.au/records-search> What happened to their ashes after cremation is sometimes recorded, and sometimes not. Tasmania now has three crematoria, one at Cornelian Bay in New Town (now run by Millingtons), Carr Villa in Launceston, and Vincent's private crematorium in Ulverstone. First port of call searching for contemporary burials and cremations in the Hobart area is always to Cornelian Bay first via the Millingtons website, as they maintain Cornelian Bay, Kingston Regional, East Risdon, Cambridge and Pontville Catholic cemeteries. 2. Louise Gibson via
    3. Hello Sandra The family story was that William Snr lived in a timber house nearby and built Forest Hall from that other property. I was told it was the timber house and property on the southern side of the river, Forest Hall being on the northern side. In the 1842 census, the family were in the Perth District, and were still there in December 1844, when William registered the birth of his daughter Mary. By January 1 1848, they had moved into the Westbury district. William owned a property at Whitefoord Hills, with a timber dwelling, and the family were living there. When daughter Ann married in December 1855, she married from "a house at Rubicon", thus they were established in the right area by that time. Did he build Forest Hall ? If it can be shown that the building is older than 1848, then perhaps not. 3. Thanks to those who responded to my query about a cemetery at Parkham. I have tried the suggestions without success. The burials were fairly recent and to respect the family's privacy I am not going to reveal their names. I am now convinced that the Southern Memorial Cemetery at Parkham does not exist and that my source was incorrect. Thanks again for your help. Don. Donald L Reid

    3. I would like to know if there is a definitive list of the convicts that arrived in PD with Lt Patterson in 1804? I understand that John Coughlan was one of the convicts (Irish Rebel per Atlas 2) but would like to be sure of this. Also, Elizabeth Donally Daniel (Clarke) Atlas 1, who became his wife in 1813, arrived there some time between 1806 and 1813, possibly with 3 children. Has anyone found her on any list as yet? I know there has been speculation about her arrival but was wondering if there has been any new information come to light. Thank you. *Pat Hobman* *dphobman@gmail.com <dphobman@gmail.com>*

    3. will send some images directly to you. Trees on Ancestry give his death as about 1832, but no source or references. did find an article in Trove mentioning a John Coughlan being fined for drunkeness in Hobart Town in 1834 http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/8647691 but no clear indication as to his identity cheers, elaine TAS descendant in Reno, Nevada

(1814 - 1894) Where are they held and are they available online, as I am unable to come to Tasmania. Would there be a copy held in New Zealand? Or is the only way to search the Blue Books is in Tasmania and to engage a private searcher?
