Hi Don, Thank you so much for your help.I lent my info at my mothers on the weekend for her to look at, and as yet haven't been able to pick it up again. If you don't mind, I'll save your email and when I have some dates in front of me , I'll get back to you. My husband and I are hoping to get to Tasmania next year.By then I should have a fair amount of family history to follow up. My g grandmother was known as Amy (on some certificates) Emily Jane Thornton born 1886 in Hobart It is her parents , Mary Ann Lattin and James Thornton, I'm having the most trouble with.The only real information I have is that he was a hairdresser. Bit like looking for a needle in a haystack Anyway once again ,I thank you for your time and effort.
