James Batten was born 1846 at Georgtown and married in 1871 at Launceston to Ellen Matilda Moore. She was born in 1846 at Clarence Plains. Children were : 1871 - Albert who married Florence Welling 1874 - Leopold Gustavas George 1876 - Alma August who married James Phoenix 1877 - Herbert Lionel 1879 - Ethel Amy who married Thomas Lamerton 1881 - Lewis Francis (my connection) 1882 - Elvie Madeline who married Charles Owens 1885 - Florence Elle who married William Wreford Any help gratefully appreciated.
