Administrivia: To unsubscribe from AUS-TAS-SURNAMES-D, send a message to AUS-TAS-SURNAMES-D-request@rootsweb.com that contains in the body of the message the command unsubscribe and no other text. No subject line is necessary, but if your software requires one, just use unsubscribe in the subject, too. To contact the AUS-TAS-SURNAMES-D list administrator, send mail to AUS-TAS-SURNAMES-admin@rootsweb.com. In addition to this ... preceding every post to the digest there is a header which includes the posters address, date and time of posting and subject title...as you will see by the following: ----- Original Message ----- From: <RomniRoser@aol.com> To: <AUS-TAS-SURNAMES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 16, 2002 12:20 PM Subject: [AUS-TAS-SURNAMES] LIST CHANGES In addition the two instances above, when a subscriber receives a confirmation of subscription an email is forwarded with the guidelines of Rootsweb lists ... this also includes the admin address. > Secondly, re > > Second: > > One of the options to attempt to over come periodic spamming is to remove > > subscribers from the list who are not active participators. But also bare in mind that I have previously advised list members that the list is pretty much open to discussion as long as it is to do with the researching of Tasmanian surnames. I person may not understand the system of research and records in Tasmania or may even have a brick wall and sometimes something as little as a few simple words can turn a key. Good luck with your research ... Bright Blessings Sandie Lady of the list.
