Australian Shipping 1788-1968. In a passenger list for the departure of the brig 'WILLIAM' from Launceston, 24th December 1841, to Sydney, I found a J.B. SHORTIS.... source: tic:61. Ref:e-46779. Would anyone know anything about the above SHORTIS, please? Another ask is...does anyone have access to a VIC Gazetteer, and if so, mayI trouble you for a look up on any SHORTIS at all in same, please. I have only been aware of the early SHORTIS arriving in the early 1860's in NSW and VIC. I'm quite excited that there could new/different information somewhere .... untapped!
