Elizabeth BOWEN married John WIlliam STABB in Hobart 8 June 1878. Amongst some old papers I have discovered an excellent photo taken in Hobart of a George BOWEN in a band uniform (metal badge of a lyre on the pillbox hat) possibly dating around the 1890s. I have not been able to link Elizabeth and George (possibly he was a nephew...) Does anyone have the Bowens in their tree and can explain the connection? I am happy to pass on a copy of the photo to a "rightful" owner... Cheers Lorraine
