Hello Sue, Could you look up records for the following please. Elizabeth SMITH b approx 1824-1827 arived 1844 on "Angelina" aged 20 = b 1824 She married William Jones 12/10/1846 in Hobart.(aged 22=b1824)They had a daughter Ellen Amelia Jones born 5/9/1847 .(a record of that birth could have vital info) Our ancestor was an Elizabeth JONES widow (no maiden name )who married Thomas Crawford 29/9/1853 (with no mention of dead husband's name)she was 26 =1827 . Our Elizabeth Crawford nee Jones died 9/1/1901 and was born according to cert. 1826. The only document I have is her marriage certificate to Thomas Crawford . A William Jones died 12/4/1853 which I am hoping was Elizabeth's husband as that would have been in timing with her marriage in sept 1853. So anything on this William Jones would be invaluable too please. There were 23 female convicts names Elizabeth Jones and more named Elizabeth SMITH which makes it very hard, Copies of anything you may think will help would be fantastic .
