    3. Hello Lorraine, In my research I came across a Henry CLACK who married Mary Ann PARSONS at Sorell in 1834. Their children were: Benjamin Henry CLACK born at Sorell in 1835. William CLACK born at sorell in 1837. Sarah Ann CLACK born at Sorell in 1839. Emma CLACK born at Hobart in 1841. Unfortunately, I don't have any more information about Henry as I was more interested in Mary Ann PARSONS. Apparently, Henry died because Mary Ann PARSONS, widow, aged 31 married William Gard at St. George's Church, Battery Point on 26 august, 1848. I am of the opinion that Mary Ann was the widow of Henry CLACK. I believe that Benjamin and William took the surname "CLARK". I also believe that at least one of the children, Sarah Ann took the name Gard when she married but I am not absolutely sure of this - I would need to check the marriage register which I haven't yet done! Hope this information doesn't put a spanner in the works. Cheers, Marg Wise.
