Deborah had been married to Thomas SKELDING who (may have) died before she was convicted. They had three children who were on the Asia with Deborah. There is no trace in Tasmania of two children but the youngest Esther (3) spent several years in an orphanage and was released to Deborah when she gained her ticket of leave. Deborah was given permission to marry another convict Joseph GARRAWAY in 1849. Her daughter Esther married William, son of another convict Nathaniel CARR in 1865 at Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia. One son was born before they moved to Dunedin, New Zealand for the rest of their lives. cheers Graham Dixon (Auckland, New Zealand)
