The 1863 death cert I have is silent on place of birth or place of death............. and the informant was no use either. He had a pregnant literate wife and four other children.......... so I don't know why the information was missing. Totally frustrating. Was a brick wall - until I went through the AJCP muster rolls AGAIN for his army discharge and finally found that important piece of information.
