In order to observe Bird Protection Week it should be noted that a ceremony will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday 28th September 2002 at approximately 2.30 pm. After standing for the National Anthem it should be noted that all attending are expected to ask for bird protection the words to be used being suggested as GO MAGPIES------ CARNA 'PIES or some other similar phrase as approx 100,000 supporters of Victorian Magpies are expected to be in attendance.
