    3. Chris, (& others) - have a look at the Web Site, as per URL in my Signature below, and click the Family History Section which will then provide you with access to The Mahady/Mahedy & Quigley Families of Tasmania for detailed info, which may relate to the Patrick Quigley as mentioned in the message below. My Mahady Family is connected to the Quigleys through a Hugh Quigley, whose wife was Ann Mahady, being transported in 1842, with her brother James Mahady, after Hugh and John were convicted at County Longford. Details of the the full Trial, plus sentencing and transportation etc., are also recorded in the Mahady Web Site, under the Family History Section. Both of these Families finally settled in the Westbury area of Tasmania and Mary Mahady, daughter of James, married a William Pledge in 1860 Should anyone reading this message find any form of connection with the aforenamed persons, especially of the Mahady Clan, then I would really appreciate an individual response as, apart from the Mahady Web Site, I do have lots of more information plus a Worldwide Mahady NetGroup. BTW, a complete story of a Matthew Mahide being tried, convicted and hanged, in Van Diemens Land, during 1848, has also been recorded under the Family History Section - Convict Transport Sub-Section of my Site. Would also appreciate any further information, from any Listers reading this message, regarding any of the above, especially about my namesake Matthew Mahide, as I had no knowledge of his existence prior to a lucky find whilst seeking something entirely different, and wonder whether his burial was recorded, and where, as I would like to visit his grave when I carry out an intended visit to Westbury,Tasmania, some time soon now. I am led to believe this Patrick Quigley may have been an ex convict and then a bushranger. Just trying to add a bit of colour to the family tree. thanks Chris. ______________________________
