Nothing like the list to start with but it does help if you tell the listers what you do know For instance his name and do you know who he married and anything else that is relevant because someone before you may just have researched that convict, and have a heap to share with you CARA ----- Original Message ----- From: "nookmook" <nookmook@optusnet.com.au> To: <AUS-TAS-CONVICTS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, November 25, 2005 12:53 PM Subject: [TAS-CON] Arrival details etc > Dear Listers, > > I am new to this list and are hoping that someone can help me. > > We have discovered that my great great great great grandfathers brother > was apparently shipped out to Tasmania as a convict from England in about > 1816. > > Where can I start my search?? Dear Listers, Thankyou so much to those people who have replied to my request. The man we are looking is Joseph BACK/BECK (we arent sure of what surname he came out under). We have heard he may have come out about 1816, and would have been about 18-30 years old?? Does that help?? Regards Nicole NORTHERN NSW
