Hi All, My Convict Ancestor Harry Sherwood was transported to Tasmania aboard the Hibernia 1819 on his record is the following .... Oct 21 1823 Fryett/ Living in adultery with a woman named Scott also for contempt of court in not attending at the police Office according to summons.....It then has what looks like Ret to PW {Rev R K} Could sks please let me know what it all means, I assume the name Fryett would be who he was commissioned too, would SKS be able to tell me where abouts this Mr Fryett would have been living in 1823 all I know is that Harry married at New Norfolk and his wife Frances had been at the Cascades Female Factory so I gather Mr Fryett would have been around that area and as I am heading off to Tasmania soon would love to be able to go to the area where he would have been.
