Hi all. I recently found my convict David Craven in the new Departures Index. He had just dropped out of sight after getting his Ticket of Leave. I could find no trace of him until now. It says he left Launceston and was bound for Melbourne. I'm not familiar with genealogy for that area. Can anyone help with where I should look next. Is Melbourne on the way to the gold fields?
