Hello All (apologies for cross-posting) I have just uploaded two lists of infants of convict women who died at nurseries for convicts' children, taken from the Registrar General's death records. One list is for the 1148 known infants who died in nurseries in Hobart - ie, Cascades Female Factory, Dynnyrne Nursery and Brickfields Nursery. The other list is for the 64 known infants who died at Ross Female Factory Nursery. You can access the lists (provided as pdf files) from the Female Factory Research Group website at http://www.femalefactory.com.au/FFRG/nurseries.htm#Deaths. The lists provide name of the infant (in alphabetical order by family name), age at death, cause of death, date of death, and for the Hobart list, nursery. I hope that some of you find these lists useful. The lists have been compiled by Anne Ferran, with my assistance, for an art project she is currently working on.
