    3. Hello Carol I realise that Jenny has provided you feedback on Ret to PW and I agree with her that it would translate to Returned to Public Works. You mentioned that his wife Frances had been at Cascades Female Factory. If it was before 1829 that she was incarcerated, it would have been Hobart Female Factory, which was next to the old gaol in Macquarie St, that she was imprisoned in, not Cascades (which was not opened until December 1828). Oct 21 1823 Fryett/ Living in adultery with a woman named Scott also for contempt of court in not attending at the police Office according to summons.....It then has what looks like Ret to PW {Rev R K} Could sks please let me know what it all means, I assume the name Fryett would be who he was commissioned too, would SKS be able to tell me where abouts this Mr Fryett would have been living in 1823 all I know is that Harry married at New Norfolk and his wife Frances had been at the Cascades Female Factory so I gather Mr Fryett would have been around that area and as I am heading off to Tasmania soon would love to be able to go to the area where he would have been.
