Thank you Chris for the information on the programme. Those on the list who are deacendants of the women who came on the Lady Juliana (I was pleased to see that the documentary has the correct spelling not the one in the book) will be very interested. For those who do not know the story of those who went to Norfolk Island and later came on to VDL might like to visit my website where I have the list of their names and who they married. Not many of those who came to VDL are in the book and not a lot is said about their life on Norfolk Island or VDL, but I found it very informative as it told the story of some of the women and their life in England and the conditions there during the time of their trials. Only the British can make a period movie of this kind and hopefully we will get to see it at some later date. This is a documentary that will be shown on ABC TV here in Australia. A relative of mine is a descendant of one of the women and her daughter appears in it. Though it does seem to have a touch of the whimsical about it if the promo is anything to go by. I look forward to seeing it.
