Hi Trudy Could be, but won't know until I find out who she is! There's no marriage record that I can find. Is it possible to search the BDM's by first name? I'm not even sure that he had been married before, but his brother was acting as creditor not long after his death against his next of kin (his wife had died by this point) and we don't know of any other family as they were brothers who were transported together. Hello Alison You can search the Tasmanian Pioneers Index by first name. There is only the one occurrence of LIDEY, but there are several for Lidia, Lidietta and Lida. None that seem to match your Lidey BRIGGS though. As she was born c1806, it is likely she arrived free, either as an adult or child, or as a convict (or convict's child).
