I am researching Dorset people who were transported to Australia between 1788 and 1813. Philip Stickland (sometimes Strickland) was transported on the HMS Calcutta which went initially to what is now Melbourne in 1803 and then on to Tasmania landing Jan 1st 1804. From the indexes I have discovered he was still alive when they arrived. If anyone has any more information about him I would be very grateful to receive it.
