New for September 2013 is . . . o Ship Arrivals: o Ships to Quebec 1831 ...still in progress, however ... ... as I'd written last month, the first page completely finished .. with some really great stuff, even if you aren't looking for 1831 Quebec arrivals o Passengers: o South Australia o ship Asterope, from London to Port Adelaide October 30th 1873 o ship St. Vincent, from London via Plymouth, to Port Adelaide November 6th 1873 o ship Iron King, from London to Port Adelaide December 12th 1873 o o Quebec Steamboats o Chambly - 6th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 23rd May 1831 o John Molson - 6th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 28th May 1831 . . more than 1,000 passengers The last three lists of South Australia arrivals for assisted emigrants for 1873. These cargo ship passenger lists are rather interesting, but some do require quite a bit of digging to identify were some families come from. The IRON KING became stranded on arrival in about the same place the MARION wrecked in 1851, on Troubridge Shoal, but there were no fatalities or injuries. We now have 260 passenger lists of assisted emigrants to South Australia. The 1831 Quebec steamboat passenger lists are still coming along very nicely. My favourite this month is the 6th trip up for the JOHN MOLSON ... so many passenger but clear and detailed. yay! Please share this *new* for TheShipsList website email, with any other list to which you belong if you think it might be of interest or value to those list members (in other words, on-topic). Enjoy !! Sue -- TheShipsList Website http://www.theshipslist.com/
