I can imagine there are lots of births in Medindie as in the Briar Ave address the Salvation Army had a hospital called Mc Bride's which originally catered for ' unmarried mothers' and then for the the general population - as per my Salvation Army Family. It was donated by Sir George Hawker and is now an imposing private home after closing in c 1970's. Hope that helps.
