Thanks to everyone for their input into trying to locate the whereabouts of the house which was supposedly the home of Governor Gawler, occupied by RM Williams at one time. We did find the location of the house featured in the ABC programme about the Williams family, featured on tv recently. It is 125 Strangways Terrace North Adelaide, which was owned by the McGregor family. Still to locate the Governor's home, which RM Williams speaks of in his autobiography, as being near the home in Strangways Terrace. Thanks everyone, Amanda.
