I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction - I have Aaron and Jane Baxter, and children, travelling to Adelaide on the Duchess of Northumberland from Southampton 27th Nov 1855 arriving 29th February 1856. i'd like to find out what scheme they travelled on. they were working class miners and mill workers so I'm guessing they travelled under some programe but i'm not having any success in finding out which. they lived in a village on the outskirts of manchester but left england from Southampton clearly not the closest port. any help would be great many thanks -- *Sue Sifa*
