I have a Mary Elizabeth MADDEN (born circa 1838 possibly Ireland) who married a Thomas IRVING in 10/5/1858 Wesleyan Mission, Adelaide, South Australia. Mary's father was Thomas MADDEN (according to the marriage details) and Thomas IRVING'S father was Thomas IRVING. Mary could be one of two convicts who were convicted 1854 OR she may be an immigrant to Australia. I'm not sure. Thomas IRVING, her husband could be a convict from Cumberland, UK sent out here in 1840 on the Eden OR he could be a different Thomas IRVING. I do have a record for Thomas IRVING from Cumberland with his conviction etc. As you can see my greatest problem is to see if the death or marriage details have a place of birth on them for both of them.
