Following a phonecall with NLA today, I learnt that the following website http://ndpbeta.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/home will be closed, within the next couple of months, and the following website http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper will be the main access point for this terrific facility.     3. Can some one please look up a death for me? Jean BROWN, wife of John Brown, 1870s to about 1910s? There is a Family notice in the Register, for one possibility, tho the age is a few years out, died 8 Nov 1871, in Norwood. Is there any more information, or other possibilities? Thanks Jan

The http://ndpbeta.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/home site has been extremely useful in our search for early family history, so I was quite concerned when I read that it was going to close. However I've logged on to http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper and found it really easy to navigate and to be honest an improvement on ndpbeta so it's been added to my favourites.
