    3. Spot on Jean. This works for Win7 32 bit but NOT for Win7 64 bit. The CDs do not have to be upgraded, only the programme digger.exe. Digger414.exe will only work on Win 7 32 bit, not Win 7 64 bit. This problem will not go away. Almost all PCs are now being sold with Win 7 64 bit. For the developers of Digger it would not be a major job to recompile the code to run on 64 bit. Then we installed all the CDs from a folder on the hard drive, (as Robert has suggested) until we got to the second death CD which is password protected and would not recognise the key codes The answer to this problem, was to install directly from the CD, to get past the key codes Then copy all the data files to the directory on the hard drive Each of the CDs has a file such as: sad2.ini Open this file, and change the last two lines into something like this: (you have to work out your own path) DBPath=C:\Digger\data\ MsgPath=C:\Digger\data\ Remember to save this file Program should now run from the hard drive :-) As far as contacting the 'horses mouth' for information, we have been in contact with them, and they are aware that there are potential problems with the CDs, but there is no possibility of any upgraded CDs being released in the near future ! We understand that it is outside their control Hope this works for you Jean Advertising on AUS-SAGEN is forbidden by Rootsweb Rules. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-SAGEN-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
