Thank you for your help. Apparently George sometimes used the surname Lew. His father was Paul Hee Lim Lew. He died in 1959 in Goulburn but I don't know if he was born in Australia or came from China. The family story is that he had two wives and we don't know which one was George's father. Any help would be appreciated. In answer to your question - there are many very helpful people on this list who will do look-ups to 1928 via CDs; don't think they are on the net, but libraries sometimes have the book versions of the CDs.
