Hi All, I am trying to find some listeners out there, who are related to the Phillips Family, whose ancestors may have been related to the Families of Simpson Family from Scotland, whose G-Great-Grandfather's were David and Helen (Young) Simpson, who came to live in Victoria, and also John and Mary Pearson (Simpson - elder sister to David Simpson-), from Scotland, and settled in Van Diemans Land, (now known as Tasmania), before some migrated to Victoria, possibily with the the Henty Bros., to Portland, Victoria, and opened p this South - Western part of Victoria - (West of the Grampions, re Casterton ; Hamilton and Portland), into over 50 large Properties, etc. Some of the Children of David and Helen Simpson, an Baker from Hamilton, married into the families of both South Australia and Victoria, whose Great-Grandfathers were then known as either Robert Phillips, and his brother, James Howard Phillips. Both of these 2 x Phillips brothers were born in England, but their late Father came from Milford Sound, Southern Wales and worked in the Shipping Industry. The reason of what I am asking, is the children then of Robert Phillips, of whom one of the children is Robert Norman Phillips, whose son is Peter Phillips, who wrote to me in 2008 recently, and details have come from his side of the Phillips Family, etc. Other name's I am researching for answers include as :-- James Howard (junior) ; Frank ; and John Pearson(junior) - all Phillips Surname. Of the other brother, James Howard Phillips (senior), I am looking for his son re:- Douglas Walter Phillips, and of his other children, I have his details. Any assistance or help of the Phillips names, that could be associated with the Food company that used to be D. & J. Fowler Pty. Ltd., from 1856 to 1965, where some of the Phillips names were associated as Partners and / or Directors, of this large Food Company etc., can contact me via AUS-SAGEN, here.
