Thanks so much to everyone who answered my enquiry regarding George Finbow being a Barwell boy. I've now confirmed that he did come via that scheme as he is listed in Applications for assisted passage as farm apprentices 1922 - 1924 held by State Records of South Australia. Now to try and trace him further - he was last heard of in South Australia in1928 after which he seems to completely disappear. Jan, Perth W.A.
