Why not join SAGHS and then you can go there and look up many of them free of charge.
Like you Graham, a lot of us live in the country or interstate and it's not easy to get into SAGHS on a regular basis... Exactly Christine. I have been a member of the SAGHS for many years. For all that time I have lived in Brisbane, and I am now physically disabled. In all those years I have been able to visit the library only once, but I will continue to support the SAGHS via my membership. I have always encouraged the SAGHS to put increasing amounts of their databases on the internet, charging non-members for access. This should be lucrative for the society, and I have started talking to the CEO about how to do this. Before I retired 11YEARS AGO, I set up such databases that returned $100,000s pa. Unfortunately I caught pneumonia and asthma 6 weeks ago, and I am struggling, now, to write this email. So I have left the CEO in the lurch so far. I will try to correct this. So much for the internet and family History being free... its laughable really. Family History is or should be free for the masses to access not just those who have credit cards and Pay Pal. My 2c worth of course. Regards....
