Well, Shegg is not a name found in Cornwall or the UK, and the date fits a tight timeframe between the birth of his children in the UK and South Australia. Daughter Julia was born 1 Dec 1849 Helston, and died at 10 months of age on 3 Nov 1850 in Adelaide. This is also the last Shugg emigration ship into South Australia that remained unaccounted for.
