Dear Liz, There are 2 definitive history books which should help you. "Reluctant Harbour" by Nancy Robinson and "Pt Pirie The Undaunted Years" by Ken Bullock. I'm pretty sure the latter is now out of print, but if your local library does not have them, ask for an inter-library loan and the library will get them in for you. If you need any Pt Pirie cemetery look-ups I can help you there too. I think the SYMONDS family were the Funeral Directors in Pirie for many years.
