To clarify, the Priscilla Piearce / Pearce born in 1874, died at 11 months in 1875. Pearl Jane Golding's mother is recorded as Priscilla Gertrude Shugg. This is incorrectly recorded. A number of her children and her marriage showed her surname to be SUGG. This is another Cornish name, and like Lugg and Shugg, there is a theory that these names came from Spanish Armada sailors.
