    1. [AUS-SAGEN] Looking for James BEESLEY - Baker, to Sydney 22 June 1874
    2. Lesley Albertson
    3. Hi Listers, I am looking for a James BEESLEY, son of James BEESLEY and Elizabeth CONSIDINE, of Drayton, Berkshire. He migrated to Sydney 22 June 1874 on the ship Jerusalem. at which time his age was 20. So, this is definitely a nephew of my g-grandfather, the convict John BEESLEY/BEASLEY ... the puzzle being, what happened to James after his arrival? A possible clue is these two entries in the Beta newspapers: *** The Advertiser_, Monday 11 December 1905, p10 LOST, from Park Lands, Sunday morning, Straw- berry Cow, near calving.—James Beesley, Maud-st., near Unley-rd. *** *** _The Advertiser, 10 August 1906, p.4 SANDERS- BEESLEY.—On the 27th June, at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev. T.J. Gore, M.A., Harold Alfred, eldest son of Henry John Sanders, to Louie, second daughter of Jamestown, both of New Parkside. *** Can anyone tell me who this James BEESLEY is - whether he might be the Baker from Berkshire? I would be interested to know, either way ... I had no idea until recently that another member of my BEESLEY line had turned up in Australia :-) Cheers, Lesley (Now living in cold, *soggy* Nundle, NSW)
