    3. Pardon my ignorance but isn't it just a matter of pressing Reply all instead of Reply. I'd be interested to learn as I am always nervous about replying to the list for just this reason. 3. I wish all responses went to the list. I don't find it hard to rapidly sort through uninteresting postings. So list mum, let's encourage all answers to go to the whole list as I am used to on other rootsweb lists. Let's get back to the default "reply" for rootsweb. 3. Dear List Members There are 13 responses to this thread....all of which we have gone thru time and time again, search the archives to see this. To all who have written, the reason that SOME answers are not posted to the list has been told before; when any of our great band of helpers uses the SA BDM CD's which are purchased from SA Genealogy office to help with an answer we have an agreement with SAGHS that the information will not be posted to the list in the format on those CD's. Now if a responder wishes to reformat the reply that is okay, eg: here is a birth record for my dear late Mum: Digger - South Australian Births Registrations 1907 to 1928 Query ----- Surname : clement (26 matches) Given Names : d* (26140 matches) Total matching records: 3 -------------------- Surname: CLEMENT Given Names: Daisy May Date: 1917-01-27 Sex: F Father: Norman Henry CLEMENT Mother: Lucy May MACKLIN Birth Place/Residence: Murat Bay District Code: Fli Symbol: Book: 993 Page: 324 Cross Reference: Technically, I am not supposed to forward this format to the list. I could do this : Digger - South Australian Births Registrations 1907 to 1928 Clement, Daisy May was born 27.1.1917 at Murat Bay in the dist of Flinders. Her parents were Norman Henry Clement and Lucy May Macklin. The ref for this birth registration is book 993 and Page 324 But because we also like to help further, many of the helpers will look for other info, other siblings, etc and so this becomes time consuming. Now I know that this seems like a small thing, but to help others this was what we agreed to. If helpers wish to reformat their replies, then the answers can come to the list, but if they choose not to then the "Replied to the LIst" was the answer we came up with. Please lets not keep asking about this on list, there are archives to check for such things. If any one has further comment pls email me direct. I will answer asap. Please also note that Julie has had to fly back to NZ on some personal business and I amm currently in Kununurra on a 'round half of Aust' grey nomad journey. Many days I am not on line and for this I apologise and answer as quickly as I can.
