Hi Glenda, I think what is being referred to here are the database services such as they list...ie the ones that are fee-paying. They are available on the computers at the SAGHS library. Other people will need to check with more local libraries, societies, etc to see who provides free access to them....most local libraries I think have at least Ancestry. To be absolutely sure, give SAGHS a ring, or email. Are these databases only available at SAGHs or can interstate users pay a subscription and use them online? Many thanks, Glenda Mumme - Victoria, Australia More Online Database Subscription Services The Society is gradually building on the range of on-line database subscription services being offered on the Society Library computer network to complement the invaluable Ancestry.com.au <http://www.ancestry.com.au/> worldwide research material. Access is now being provided to Origins.net <http://www.origins.net> (British and Irish), FindMyPast.co.uk <http://www.findmypast.co.uk> (United Kingdom) and theGenealogist.co.uk <http://www.thegenealogist.co.uk> (British). As an additional benefit, the Society has removed the fee which used to be charged for the use of the computers (and also the microfiche/film readers).
