New for July 2010 is . . . o Passengers: o John Molson - 13th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 26th July 1832 o John Molson - 14th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 1st August 1832 o John Molson - 15th trip up, Quebec to Montreal, 7th August 1832 o ... o barque Helene, from Hamburg, to Port Adelaide 23rd January 1856 o ship Europa, from Hamburg, to Port Adelaide 25th June 1856 Three more JOHN MOLSON steamboat passenger lists for 1832. We again see Emigration Society tickets for some of the settlers on these three trips, plus the notation "Captain of the Othello to pay" for some families on the 15th trip up. I'm anxious to get the 1832 newspapers to learn where they were from. I'll then go back over these lists and add the information and newspaper links. The first two German passenger lists to South Australia for 1856. It is really interesting to find that so many of these Hamburg departures were destined to both Adelaide and Melbourne. The HELENE is a great list with good arrival information from both ports, the EUROPA was a little more of a task because the numbers disembarking at Adelaide and Melbourne were skewed by the fact that two familes, (Wood and Kennedy) embarked at Adelaide, for Melbourne, but we got them sorted out. :-} Please share this *new* for TheShipsList website email, with any other list to which you belong if you think it might be of interest or value to those list members (in other words, on-topic).
