Hi Alan Alfred George and Margaret Alice Boffey appear in the 1949 Electoral Rolls (at Ancestry.com) at Mt Evelyn. They do not appear to be in the 1942 roll although I suspect a single Alfred George (an assistant mechanic) lives in Coburg.   So they married between 1946 (your date) and 1949. I am trying to find a marriage in Victoria of Margaret Alice Trowbridge (Rogers) to Alfred Boffey sometime between 1946 and 1954. I have searched the BDM for Victoria and the Australian Marriage Index 1788-1950 with no success. I actually have a photo of them standing on the steps that i am led to believe were at the Brunswick Registry Office, if they had one in Brunswick. Any suggestions where else i might look.
