Hi Lyn, Her father was Laurance Cormac McCarthy (born Carty) B1809 D1870 at Clonivaclant, via Killukan, West Meath, Ireland Her mother was Anne Frances McCarthy (nee Wheeler) B1813 D1875. Both are buried in West Terrace Cemetery. Hi Richard, If you can't find the birth of Lucy as I guess with the surname of McCarthy Maybe the reason, I guess they were Catholics and not all births were registered with S A Births, I have found. They would have the children baptised and that would be it.! Frustrating I know as I have found that with my Catholic family trees. I don't know if you can still check with the Catholic Archives in Adelaide or not.? Worth enquiring into.
