Hi Stephanie, Yes I have searched Trove. There is no mention of Sam Ford's engagement. The only record of Emma is a death notice in the newspaper which only gives her father's name. I've searched for photos in the State Library of SA. I've tried a reverse photo search with Tineye. There are 2 Ford family photo albums in the SLSA. The link I posted is the only photo of this woman in the albums. I have some copies of photos of the Ford family, including this one. I also have the book on the Ford family history by Patricia Lock. None of the contributors to that book know the woman's identity. I have searched through all the usual resources for the last 30 years. The only evidence of this engagement to date is a family legend and a photograph of an unidentified woman.
